Welcome to Department of Management Sciences, Karakoram International University Gilgit-Baltistan. Today’s dynamic business world presents managers with an array of complex and exciting challenges, such as globalization, workforce diversity, and scarce resources. The Business education prepares students to meet these challenges in the local market. This department is one of the pioneering departments established in 2002 in the university.
This department offers both undergraduate and graduate Programs for the students who seek to develop their career in business education and research. Our qualified and experienced faculty members have put a transparent and integrated system in position to inculcate the real localized market knowledge in teaching and research. We want to be the most important management sciences department in terms of management thinking, theory, practice and usable research. Every student in our BBA/MBA program has a choice to choose one area of interest from different specialization.
The BBA and MBA programs in different areas of interest are developed with an objective to produce skilled professionals, with strong theoretical knowledge and advanced management skills that have the competence to deals with the issues in real market settings. The key factors attracting students to Management Sciences Department are the methodology, faculty exposure, Relevance and innovation in curriculum, instructional methods, research, and professional and public service. We follow guidelines by HEC and have made our program possible for working professionals, by offering classes in the evening. The department of Management Sciences always provides and maintains quality education by using different innovative tools of teaching. Because of the geographical challenges of the areas we believe in assisting the marginalized people of the region opening new campuses.
