Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Federal Minister said, Students are our precious asset and the guarantee of a bright future for the nation. He emphasized that students are the true leaders of education, transformation, development, peace, and brotherhood. He urged them to recognize their importance & perform outstanding work in the fields of education and research, thereby illuminating the name of the country and nation in every sphere. He said that the federal government, is giving top priority to the educational and technical development of youth across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan. The establishment of the new engineering and technology campus and the Ski & Sports Academy at Karakoram University is clear proof of this commitment. Minister Ahsan Iqbal assured that immediate discussions will be held with the Higher Education Commission and the federal government regarding improvement of university infrastructure, increase in operational budgets for all three sub-campuses, and allocation of special funds for the main campus so that students here can avail the best opportunities for world-class education and research.
